CORE SUPPORT

Assistance with daily life: Assistance with daily life is a core support items designed to allow participants live as independently as possible – in your home or out in the community. Our support workers are highly skilled in providing support that can include:
Consumables: Consumables are products that can given individuals more confidence and help them become more independent. Consumables can include the following things:
| Personal Activities: DCSSA’s supportive team of workers is able to assist you or your loved ones with activities to support participation in the greater community. We will assist you to succeed in your set goals through motivation, guidance and mentoring. We will support you in your personal activities that can include:
Transport: If your disability limits your use of public transport and you require help to travel to work, or a place of activity, you could receive funding for transport in your core support budget. Our support workers will be able to assist with your travel needs within NDIS guidelines. |
MEAL PREPARATION
DCSSA can help with your needs towards meal preparation tasks to ensure you are getting a healthy and balanced diet to improve your quality of life. These may include:
Shopping for groceries.
Preparing your meals or assisting you with cooking.
Helping develops meal plans and menus.
Help you in the kitchen with washing of dishes, etc.

DEVELOPING LIFE SKILLS
You or your loved one may have a disability that limits your ability to live independently. DCSSA’s workers are well equipped and trained to support you in achieving your goals.
We work hard to ensure that we create a skills development environment with you which is both safe and comfortable for you. Our support workers can help you learn and enhance your skills at your pace, and can assist you with:
Paperwork and bill payments.
Keeping your home clean.
Meal planning and preparation.
Socialising and attending community events.
Helping you with your health needs, such as exercise, healthy eating, etc.
Personal hygiene.
Help you build your confidence and independence by assisting you in living a live where you can be more self-reliant and thrive with day to day activities.
COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION
It is important for all social beings to interact within community to improve mental health and emotional wellbeing. We understand your needs around staying connected with the community and our community participation approach is designed around identifying and fulfilling those needs. We are committed to providing the most appropriate and personalises support that can deliver the best results for our clients. Our approach includes:

CLEANING AND DOMESTIC ASSISTANCE
We can assist with cleaning and domestic chores that an individual may find difficult due to a disability. These may be basic jobs around the house, however they can help make your day to day life more enjoyable. These services can include:
Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping the floors.
Dusting around the house.
Cleaning the kitchen and bathroom areas.
Washing and drying dishes.
